i think it adds to the story and makes it more unsettling how she seems unfazed each time something more twisted happens. She’s shocked, but gets over it really quickly like it didn’t just happen, whereas it obviously traumatizes other people in the town or drives them to insanity. I don’t think it’s exactly that she’s stupid, it seems more like she’s immune to the “spiral” or something like that. Anyways, i kind of liked that throughout the story; having one character that didn’t become corrupted or pushed over the edge of sanity. but idk that’s just what i thought (⊙…⊙ )
