I absolutely loved it, the pair may not have had the best starting but the way things progressed, the way seme changed for the sake of uke, as he overcame his fears and learned to love, the way uke learned to treasure himself, everything I absolutely loved it.

Yes or I would say the seme here in potn are cruller since Raymond never raped him and he was always caring and showering him with love and affection from the beginning. But he had a goal and have lived his hole life to achieve that goal. He was consumed in it, that made him use everything that benefits him. Yes it was very cruel but thinking about the world they lived in, it was not strange.
A cruel world where power, status, money controls ur life. U have no voice of ur own and people being sold as slaves like …. Yeah if we was surrounded by nobles with their own motives and hunger for more success I would go crazy myself, but in the end the story was well written and I’m glad he was never violent towards Ian and he never led Ian to believe that he had a chance with Raymond, but Ray was selfish indeed and I felt hurt many times
Yes I agree with you. I love it more then potn, uwu I’m sorry. But it’s rare to find manhwas with such an amazing plot, and where the plot is in focus. Like it’s not much s3x compared to this one. But I prefer plot over s3x, I like intimacy!!! In yaoi but I don’t need to see it all the time

Personally I love potn more (the plot is rather slow but I'm biased to this one(≧∀≦)) but yes the way the author focuses at the plot is great. Painter behind the curtain is one yaoi that is super underrated, it's one of the few gems in yaoi where the seme has such a touching story and development and ofc the uke too, everything out there is beautifully done. I specially love the fact that seme gave up everything for ian and they lived together in a rather countryside place that was the best ending ever.

I want to recommend this amazing manhwa, don’t be fooled by the art since I was for months!! I can just regret it now why I didn’t pick it up sooner. Also so many have been deceived cause of that.
