It's historical manhwa. Most of kids 6-18 in earliest era already have fiances due to political, arrange, or love marriage. There are some marriage that have age 16 then the spouse is 30 plus or below so it's kind of working out but since it's not arrange or political, if they love each other, it could work out.

this is such a loosely "historical" manhwa that i have trouble justifying the 16 y/o x 28 y/o relationship. like they've introduced ogres and demons and mages, but the one aspect of medieval culture they preserve and highlight is the predatory age gaps?? it doesn't sit right w me
If you relate it to early Victorian or somewhen era, it's not uncommon

Well, 12 isn't that bad, but that she is still a minor and he an adult in his late twenties is uh.. conflicting? Agh idk. Even tho I support all kinds of love ( exclude pedophile) I still feel weird thinking about the age gaps of specific couples. Not that I can really say that, since my parents literally have a 24 age gap
