It was probably trauma from his brother's death. You know like how people refuse to speak out how they really feel and end up saying harsh things instead. But don't mind me it's just a speculation

“I look down on people who commit suicide. Their corpses are unsightly and they bring it upon themselves.” That was a really fucking horrible thing to say, I can’t believe that was actually included.
I like the art and story so far, but that one dialogue was really uncalled for and put a bad taste in my mouth.
