I don't know why what annoyes y'all the most is the misunderstanding, I mean it is a pain, but the real problem is the fact that the only method the Duke has ever tried to go through any conflict with Jace is rape, and that he doesn't even realize that's not how things work. Honestly I was starting to forget the earlier ones, but I'm this close to dropping this shit. If only Jace would quit and leave the Duke maybe we could see some character development, but you and me both know that won't ever happen, because he is not in any position to do so, because that's not what the story hinted at up till now, and because it almost never happens in manga, and most forceful characters stay that way and get what they want, AND it's, most of the time, portrayed as a positive happy ever after ending. I guess what makes me the most angry is that fact, that the authors don't make their character reflect at all, while show them in a positive light, which completely reduces the abuse to something that is supposed to be normal in a relationship.
So in short, the authors who come up with this sort of garbage need to see a therapist. Regardless if it is fiction or not because it makes us wonder about their background especially when they make it(r*pe) seems normal.

Clearly. Or at least a masterclass or two on consent.
