I'm sure Chun Sam wouldn't have wanted “karma,” especially in the form of Min Gyeom attempting suicide.
Probably not the suicide, however Min Gyeom has caused unnecessary pain to Chun Sam. He has the guts and grit to choose someone and make explicit decisions, so why not sort out his feelings towards Chun Sam? If he likes him, he likes him. If not, oh well.
Instead, Chun Sam and the readership have to bear the spiral of depression and rejection. If the whole cheating thing, the whole wreck of a childhood wasn't infuriatingly enough, anf now we have to wait even longer before everyone is happy.
Min Gyeom finally wakes up and realizes how much of an asshole he really is. Good, good. Some karma is needed for Sam, who did nothing wrong. Also, that blond fuckboy can go rot, using people like that.
