danzo and fumi help

"danzo and fumi were in love(?)"

- they were in love but both never acknowleged their feelings for each other until Fumi was on his death bed. When he was about to die and Danzo was prodding him to tell him his last words. I really loved this part in the manga.

" for some reason danzo slept with ichi as a replacement for fumi and ichi agreed because it was his way of helping his brother."

- Yes. This part is quite complicated. While reading this volume we might think Danzo has consistently asked Ichi sexual favors, the truth is their first sexual interaction was the only time they did it when he was younger. And that was merely to 'teach' Ichi how to handle 'adults' as Danzou said.

Danzou has always loved Fumi. It wasn't clear when he fell in love but the both of them have a certain bond that Ichi wasn't aware of until Danzo revealed it himself. This was shown in the second volume.

When the twins got older, Fumi's illness worsened and so I think this is the reason why he started his sexual relations with Ichi. He's afraid of breaking Fumi. And the truth is he really doesn't understand his feelings. Lust is easier to understand as opposed to romance. He doesn't particularly care about Ichi. Ichi is willing to do anything for Fumi, even throwing away his dignity in exchange for Danzou protecting Fumi but that didn't help Fumi's situation much.

"Except up until fumi's death, danzo slept with fumi instead and was with him during fumi's last moments?"

-*spoiler alert* Fumi and Danzou never slept with each other. But they kissed. OMG i loved this part very much. I think I cried at this part. Hehe. It was when Fumi was dying tho. Danzou rejected him when he went to Danzou as Ichi's replacement.

Danzou was with Fumi when he died ... I really loved this part. Danzou was checking on him that time. They talked a bit. Fumi was saying stuff like he can't take any more pain (from his sickness) and he hates himself because he was just being a burden to Ichi. He was worried about Ichi when he's gone etc.

"how did danzo even fall in love with fumi and how did fumi even fall in love with danzo, knowing what danzo did to his brother."

-Danzou fell in love with Fumi because of his smile and honesty, gosh you can't really blame Danzou... Fumi has the most beautiful and purest smile. T.T

when Ichi was calling for help (when Fumi collapsed) he was in the middle of thinking about that smile, about how he affects him. I really liked this part.

I dont really know why he fell in love with Danzou. Maybe familiarity? Shared experiences? I know he admired Danzou's love for writing/calligraphy. That writing/calligraphy was something he used to cheer Ichi up.

Danzou is different in his scenes with Fumi. When he's with him he is somewhat human. It makes me weak.

Him clinging to Ichi was because he wasn't able to process grief properly. He realized his feelings too late. And he's just overall a messed up adult because of the times. It's fucked up really but dude literally doesn't care about anybody else except Fumi. He wasn't particularly gentle with him (that chap where he bit him) but dude's a total softie towards Fumi. His moments with Fumi are my favorite. Sensei really did an absolute phenomenal job with their story. Fumi as a character in my opinion was the heart and soul of the first volume.

That bit is actually based on sensei's tweet. XD because when he reminisced about Fumi's smiling face (before Ichi called for help) he was complaining about Fumi. XD
