I have a problem with him telling our mc that his reason for leaving wasn't good enough. Like he was threatened ridiculed and felt ostracized and he basically told him "well that's not good enough cause I was lonely"

Yeah I agree that was uncalled for.
Personally I don't have a problem with Woojin but he also couldn't really do much about the situation back then since he was a minor. Don't forget he is younger than Haegyung.
