Is it normal?

I'm a girl and I'm straight, yes, really. But I'm no longer interested reading shoujo manga or normal manga. I'm craving for yaoi manga more and more. Gosh. Is it normal? Is it okay? Anybody has the same problem?

If it's a problem, then we're all doomed.
I definitely read primarily yaoi now, and anything else is basically occasional. Shoujo kinda annoys me, unless it's really really good which is super rare.

Im like that too. When I read shoujo mangas, its kind of boring. Example, when 2 guys crushing 1 girl, I want that 2 guys end up together and leave that girl a lone. Is it just me? Am I really that weird?

same here. whenever I try to read any shoujo manga in the end I always make my own plot. throw away the girls and bring the boys.

Yea me too, Im a straight girl. and i read shoujo occasionally whenever i find something i like (w/c is hard) a lot of shoujo irritates me with this damsel in distress kind of girl or cliche story lines. but yaoi i like yaoi bec. its not about sex only but overcoming hurdles and they dont necessarily have the annoying vibe some shoujo has.

Yeah. Pretty normal Shoujo just get dull in time

I hear you. When you've read shoujo/josei long enough, you just feel numb because you've seen the same trope over and over til' it gets to the point that you can't stand straight couples anymore, but when it comes to yaoi or yuri for that matter, you feel differently from it like you want to keep reading on between those 2 couples of the same gender.

hehehe. me too, I enjoy some shoujo...but I kinda find it annoying when they fall in love or into sex right off the bat..on the other hand, with yaoi I don't mind it. lol

yeah. clingy girl in shoujo manga irritates me. when it come to clingy boy in yaoi manga, I just like "Kyaaa Kyaa Kyaaa". I'm a girl but sometimes see that kind of girl always make me mad. haha

there's something different whenever I read yaoi manga. something I couldn't find in shoujo manga. and, yes, I enjoy and like that feeling. even my best friend (a boy) said, "well, it doesn't matter what you read as long as you enjoy it even though a yaoi manga. that's pretty normal for a girl to read something about opposite gender"
