that's true. i don't think i've much experience of reading shoujo since i found out yaoi not so long after i started liking manga.
now i feel girl character is annoying and can't make me content, but clingy guy is acceptable.

I've started out shounen and then shoujo just for the romance side of things, but when you've read enough shoujo/josei, I don't feel anything on the boy/girl relationship at all cuz almost half of those characters annoy the shit out of me for doing stupid shit or one treats the other like crap. However, with yaoi/yuri, the boy/boy or girl/girl relationship doesn't actually annoy me that much as straight romance does. But still, I treat it the same if there's a character in both yaoi/yuri that's really annoying and that you can't stand them to that point.
you realize you read too much yaoi, when you started stop read a shoujo manga just because the girl is selfish and clingy and you said "what an annoying girl" but when you read a yaoi manga and there's an uke who's selfish and clingy you said "what an adorable ukeee kyaaa~~"
i've read too much yaoi... too much...
