Psh This is just one of MANY manga where people can't communicate. I mean there is one that is still ongoing with well over 200 chapters and they just started to communicate properly! This I expect by now.
Though i dont think it has to do with communication, cuz there is no misunderstanding at all, they both knew what's happening, it's just that they haven't really develop or consider or involved (whatever you wannna call it but you get the point) their feeling on the situation yet
