Forcing the idea that one must always be a bottom (aka the women of the relationship) and the other must be the top ( aka the man of the relationship)
The character didn't give the other a good reason at all on why he doesn't wanna bottom. Usually in lgbtq relationships you communicate how you want to happen in the bed room and also alot of gay relationships aren't just bottoms and tops.

My bad. xD That heteronormative is natural because he is a trans who made himself 100% look like a woman. As women do not have a d*** and cannot shove it, your brain thinks automatically thinks that trans cannot top because no d*** in sight at first glance. That first thought will always be there. Of course, it is not like this for everyone, but you cannot change the first thought of the majority. Straights do not assume every woman can be a trans male. As there experience is with just opposite sex, they tend to be wired to it.
