It's not that unusual. But most of the time, author that made a name in hetero romance later on won't be making BL titles anymore. It's rare for one to switch back and forth. Ugh, I always feel more dumb using the word 'straight', what's that supposed to be? An arrow? Line? Direction? I digress, obviously. （￣へ￣）
I think it unusual that author/mangaka that make BL before to make romances story between man and woman (straight). This story is really interesting and all the characters look really nice. I weak for cute puppy male lead x woman stories. I'm happy that this fantasy story doesn't involved reincarnation/isekai thing.
