I cried when her dad said "I'm proud to have you as a daughter"
Not like, I'm crying coz I'm touched, tears... i was like, I'm crying coz I'm sad it took that much for you to realize and that it's too late now tears. Fuck. I hate this. I couldn't even appreciate Rey's and Pen's moment.

That doesn't mean i hate the duke or don't like him... i just found it really sad that it took that much. Like fuck. It hit a nerve.

I think in the novel the reason why she looked kinda down was because she felt sad that the real penelope didnt hear those kinds of words from her father herself :(
