It's almost the same in straight romance.However rape is not shown as much as in bl cause that would make it controversial#hypocrisy （￣へ￣
But abuse and harrassment are common tropes in straight romance.
i’ve read many straight stories and... bl definitely has A LOTTTTT more SA and rape in it
yeah rape, sexual harassment and dubious consent is quite common in straight romance as well, cause shoujo/josei n bl are both commonly written by female authors who use the same tropes.
there's a lot of them in straight stories. the same as how shounen ai is relatively more wholesome than yaoi, straight romance that has SA are more common in stories tagged with "smut"
As we all know, rape and sexual harrassment/assault in BL is pretty fucking common. It's a point where it's the cliché drama for authors. (For this question i'm not including romantizing rape)
So i have been wondering, is it also like for straight romance ? Or is the rape kink only a thing for fujoshis?
