Honestly, as a novel reader since the start of this manhwa i’ve been wondering what they’d do about all the plot holes regarding his dad. The novel really never addressed it..? Like they just introduced his dad, started something to intrigue the readers and completely forgot about it. I can’t tell you much from the novel, hopefully the manhwa author decides to show some more and fix the terrible ending and plot holes since it really is a good story, but starting from the sovereigns and rulers thing it just felt rushed the whole time
I’ve read spoilers that he’ll soon be reunited with mc, then travel back in time when there’s still no gates and monsters, then defeat the monarchs. But I really want to know his whereabouts rn. Like, ‘when is he going back to korea?’ Or ‘when is he gonna show up in front of his family?’. I feel bad for our king’s mom, since she’s been blindly waiting for him to comeback, and now that we know he’s still alive but not revealing himself to his family, make’s me want to go inside the story, pick his ass out and throw him in their apartment.
But I know that he’s not in the situation where he can carelessly move since hunters from all over the world is after him, and that can possibly harm his fam. But still! I want the mom and the sis to at least know that he’s still aliveee!

So the dad cant really do anything right now since the fragment of light has sort of possessed him in a way and his mission was to save the world starting by killing sung jin woo which he couldnt do and then it changed into protecting him, i dont know if the manhwa will go deep into it but the novel sort of explained it a bit more

Is it explained how he survived inside the gate or at least how the hell did he get in USA? I’ve been confused for a while now. And remind me who’s the fragment of light again? (〜￣△￣)〜
Theyre the good guys, and the dad got in the USA by coming out of a monster gate and thats why he was being held off and questioned
What happened to his dad? Where is he?? There is someone that looks like him in the monarch’s side, is it him? But I don’t think it’s him. He attacked the monarchs righttt? When they are talking about the small country (?)
