You’re not wrong and I too think it was a weird but I think the idea was to inflict another emotion/make her use one of her own emotions to break the connection to the tomb author (forgot the character’s name) emotions but yeah “arousal” was a weird ass choice

I feel like it was a mistranslation cause that just didn’t align with the text from the previous box. Basically he was saying if he got her to focus on her own emotions instead of the emotions of the book she’d snap back into reality. Maybe “if I did something to surprise you” would have been a better phrase
