The flashback in ch 57 made it seem like the parents actually did abandon him. For crying out loud no one in this story is a reliable narrator I'm still so confused.
yeah but from the latest chap show how much his parents love him tho even tho they didn't come back to get him. but if you see the old hag, she's clearly adore jiwon cousin (the red head) more and never actually show she love jiwon so i can see that she's probably the cause why jiwon not able to see his parents (〜￣△￣)〜
Makes me think either his parents had no choice but to leave him or they thought this would be the better option for him because they have their own unresolved issues.
