Well relationship come with communication, not just sweet talk. Their relationship more like dating than married couple. Seme didn't honest with mc and cut off things. Also, i think mc just stupid or dumb or clueless person. He also have fault for not taking responsibility seriously. But still can be develop if he didn't get spoil too much.
