Yes! Thank you! It always annoys the shit out of me that only women are held to this standart. Why is it that they have to be strong and smart at the same time? Why cant they be weak or dumb? Why is it okay for male characters in yaoi to be weak but its unacceptable for female characters in shoujo? Just let them be weak, not every woman has to be/ is strong

I am not criticizing yaoi, i am criticizing the people that read both yaoi and shoujo, and how they have this double standard where men protagonists can be weak and women cant. I read both yaoi and shoujo, its just something i have observed while reading the comments of people
