Some people genuinely freeze, like they just stand their and cannot move. My sister is like that whereas my body reacts before I can even think.

A close friend of mine would freeze when they are in shock. It was quite dangerous tho because one time she actually freeze in the middle of the road because someone scared her from behind.

Just remember, not everyone have the same response to shock when it happens. SOME may run, some may hide, some would freeze, etc. I understand ur anger for it but everyone isn't the same. Please understand that. And overcoming it isn't easy at times, especially if there's this type of situation. U can't all of a sudden get over something if u don't even know when it's going to happen. It's like a child doesn't know how to run from, let's say a robbery. Of course, sometimes, the child doesn't know bc the child is a child, but if u were the guardian, u would swoop them up. The child didn't know because they didn't encounter a situation like that before. So honestly,, I understand ur anger for her response, but I just wanted to let you know that not everybody has the same response in a situation like this. There are damsels in distress, but not every damsel in distress is the same. Please understand what I'm trying to say. Thank you.

It maybe just a sequence of pictures but did you forget it happened just in the span of less than few minutes? The guards started to fall down, the father then lunged to shield her and she was holding him, falling to the ground, she looked up and saw a hail of arrows raining straight towards them. I don't know what kind of superhuman that you are to think you can survive that but Viche is just a normal girl with merely seconds to her death.

true and she didn't expect that it was an assassination so she wasn't prepared at all! she just thought that her father got a car accident so the whole thing just surprised them lol her cousin reacted quickly since the world that they are in made them do something to protect themselves whereas girls get locked to get a lessons about etiquette or some housewife thing and u know that the modern world really ain't about fights all the time right? and what will she do about the arrows? shield her arms or put her father from the front to protect herself? lol jk

She was under the assumption that her father died previously because of a carriage accident, so she came unprepared. Also, it would be difficult for an individual who had no prior training and experience to react in that situation. That’s actually why we usually do fire drills and such, to prevent chaos and for people to not freeze up/panic when an actual fire happens. I also had experienced a life or death situation before, and I was only able to react properly since there was only 1 individual trying to kill me lol. I can’t imagine being in her situation where not only was there fire surrounding them, there’s also multiple assassins all trying to kill her. (￣∇￣")
