the problem is not about what you think its about what the people in story thinks. Its only natural and logical that the brother will be forgiven because the main story was about that in the first place. Forgiving was the only solution to having the warmth of a family.
yeah but the story builds him the rental brother becoming her actual brother just for her to say to her biological brother "you're my only family." The story makes you think its a found family with her, the rental brother and his friends and family becoming her actual family only for her to get her "real" brother back.
You are right it no excuse to abuse others. But what if you were abused, bullied and neglected by others your whole life? All you would know is hate. He is just a human. He deserved forgiveness

You forget that he dropped out of school. He still has the mind of child. yea he shouldn’t have abused her. But don’t act like he went out of his way to do it. It was more than just bullying. He was neglected by his parents. Constantly being abused my his mother and compared to his father. Even the last words she said her about how trash her son was. Did you even read the manga. The brother didnt deserve redemption or forgiveness idc. Idc that he was bullied or abused, that is no excuse to abuse and hurt others, especially your little sister who can’t even defend herself.
