I think its the intent and how she acted(?) Before the real princess was obsessed and well gullible in a way and yet "evil" but now she's not actively approaching and is brilliant ( and lemme tell you, from experience, someone smart is fucking attractive doesn't even need to be literal book smart but even if its just smart at onething)
Honestly shows how important boundries are especially for him who gets physically sick when touched. Now that he doesn't have to fear her he can actually see her.
Its not that weird considering her entire personality and demeanor did a 180 flip, right? Shes a different person now. I kinda wanna praise the dude for not ignoring her progress and seeing her for who she is, not how she acted in the past. A lot of people would just write her off because they know what she's like already.
When she loved you, you denied her, now she's keeping her distance and your acting like a dog that lost his owner.
