Ik what you mean, but this is mahwa, which is from Korea. Korean dont really learn about western culture, and some might even think that dark skinned is ugly. Maybe the author is just trying to appease the Korean readers, idk man. Like sorry to say this but most korean are uneducated about dark-skinned people irl e.g. black people and the culture, thus many k-idols appropriated the black culture. Am i making sense? I hope i do
Koreans aren’t dumb. Even if they’re on a different continent they know about western culture and about black people and our history .They even have their own slur for black people, so don’t treat them as if they’re ignorant about things outside of their country.
Well you’re right about koreans aren’t dumb but some of them chose to be ignorant. I also talked about how the author wanted to appease to korean readers, as many of them view fair skinned as the beauty standard. If u go to yt, u can see many k-idols ignorant (which is not a good thing) about black people and even uses the n-word slur on tv shows. It shows that SOME of them are ignorant and when confronted, they chose not to address it and continue to appropriate black culture.

Pretty sure author isn't racist lol just by having diff skin colors characters doesn't mean author is racist. enough ppl are talking about the weird kiss already so i won't get into that, but like. Hasn't there only been one dark-skinned character in this? And that's the demon guy? Which is already sus enough, but the fact that there's barely or no other people with darker skin? If there were more characters with dark skin and Mephisto(I think that's the demon guy's name) just so happened to also have dark skin, it'd be whatever. But there isn't. Like, most characters have white skin. That's why if they make monocle guy the demon contracter in the magic tower..IDK fam. Like I know the Prince and Princess or whatever are also demon contracters and are white, but there are just....so few dark skinned characters that if they make the two darker skinned characters evil....that's racist :/ It's already weird enough that like, 90% of the charas in this are white
