I know it's a fictional story but I had this feeling of loneliness creeping up while reading it. If you become restricted in expressing your true feelings or feel like there is no one who will listen to your words seriously and take it on as it is on a surface level then it becomes that much harder to show it in front of the others as time goes on. The fact that taking your life cause it felt like the only choice left because of your parents view on how their children should live for their own self satisfaction and take the children obedience for granted without dwelling into it is something too miserable for the person going through it. If they had even one person in their life who would sit with them and indulge to the root of those feeling and frustrations then maybe life would be a little easier for them.
