FL was clearly threatened here, Of course she will always think about running away. And it also not surprise that she played along with the duke cuz she was scared. Even I, A reader knowing the duke is ml and will definitely falls for her, still not trusting him at this point. He’s still scary and not likeable character yet. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ but he’s the duke how tf our mc can turn down his proposal, he kills other nobles in the first chapter in case you forgot.
