Seme- top(the one who will be doing the penetrating )
Uke- bottom (the one being penetrated by the top)
Switch- doing both the bottom and top.

Seme refers to the one penetrating or the “top” uke refers to the one receiving/being penetrated or the “bottom”. They are sexual terms

Sorry, but I really want to add characteristic traits
Seme is seen, most of the time, as masculine and tall types, while uke is cute and small figured types. Sometimes, you have to dig deep to figure it out which is which because a uke can have characteristic of a seme, like Under the Green Light, and vice versa, like lucky paradise. Also omegaverse is a clue because omega is all of the time bottoming (they can also be pregnant), but I read one manga where they don’t. Alpha is the obviously the top, but if another alpha is topping another alpha, one will have to become the omega. Beta is the normal type, nothing really special about them. Sorry, to keep chick-chatting, it’s 4;17 AM and I don’t really have friends who is obsessed in BL as I do.
