Why they gotta marry her off to pay off the debt, what is she? Some object you can throw away? Fuck them parents, you just send your child to some sketchy ass adult to fuck her and have his children? Also, the girl main character, if you're okay with it, why go through some trouble and build some relationship and then develop feeling and shits. The director is dumb too, just want to fuck huh

ALOT of Japanese fathers do this in the comics. There was one I read that was really horrific. His daughter was only 19 and a virgin and he basically sold her off to a rich CEO thinking he was going to marry her. It turned out the bastard only wanted to use her to be sex slave for his "clients" (and there were ALOT of them).
The scumbag admitted this to the father after correcting him he wasn't going to marry his daughter (he would fuck her tho) and that she was basically going to a whore for sale. Rather than refused the father put his company first and abandoned the daughter and ran away.

After that, she was drugged, gang-raped as part of "orgies" and forced to service a client nearly every day. Meanwhile, the daughter was doing this should HIS debt and take responsibility for HIS company as ran away like a coward.

She was near suicidal.

In the end the daughter forgave her father when he returned and the father still try to act high and mighty to the scumbag he sold his daughter to. i
The daughter also ended up with the security guard she fell in love with but did not help her as he watched her be abused, raped (even gang-raped) for his brother's entertainment and sell her like merchandise due to his "loyalty" to his brother that he even risked his life to save in the end and BEG (the scumbag that was pimping his gf) to "accept" their relationship.

I think there is something wrong with Japanese men and how they perceive women.
