Nah, see you're 100% correct,, this story really just made me sick the whole way through... I remember trying to read it while it was coming out and I dropped it halfway. I came back to read it cause I love their other work, especially Love Shuttle, and I forced my way through it just to see if Kyungsoo ends up happy and he doesn't... No one does...
The thing is, is I can't really blame the story. It never claims to be a morally good thing, no matter how much we want it to be. It's really just a don't read if you don't like it situation cause the closest it gets to promoting a romantic story is vague description
Might get hate comments for this but... The whole story is just so toxic, I am currently on Ch. 18 and I don't think I can finish this shit. Everything is so fucked up, the seme harasses him, r*ped him with seme's friends, harasses the uke's new boyfriend, and what else? there's more toxicity to be discovered as I read this manhwa.
Everyone hates POTN for having "r*ped" scenes, but love this manhwa?! for what?! romanticizing r*pe, harassment, abuse, and violence? I'd rather the uke date Donghyuk than the toxic and psycho seme. No offense to the author but I love how he's slowly moving on from the toxic seme from the beginning and he just had to ruin everything for Donghyuk and Uke and pick that convenience store out of all the convenience stores in Korea?!
I can't understand why people love this and continue on disagreeing with everyone who's uncomfortable with reading these type of things
The first scene where the seme lets his friends r*pe and harass the uke really makes me wanna throw up, but I continued to read because I want to give it a chance since the uke is slowly falling for Donghyuk, but after reading till Ch. 18. It really just disappoints me how this story goes. It reminds me of Killing Stalking
I really love Color Recipe (it's psychological too) but I don't know, I love the art but the repeatedly r*pe scenes just make me uncomfortable. Sorry for those people who love this tho.
