!! I won't spoil who but there was indeed also someone who was constantly stopping him from doing the right thing. I seriously sympathize with him he was never truly loved and was forced to become the villain :( im glad he got the push he needed and isn't letting himself be controlled anymore and taking his own stands and precautions. His 1st life though tragic, came.in handy to make the second better ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄
I honestly feel like I'm the only one who likes the duke. (You guys think the backstory was to make us feel bad for him but I believe its to show that there were two sides to a story) Edhart was born an illegitimate child and unlike Reina, (who had a peaceful childhood until the accident) had a horrible childhood full of poison food an assassination attempts. You guys act like that wouldn't have scarred him. Edhart was also mistreated. You guys expect him to act like a mature young man when he wasn't even taught properly (mentioned numerous times). Edhart seems to me to be mentally weak. For good reason too. He did ignore Reina, and take HER child away from her, and seem rather cold when she died. He's owning up to those mistakes and trying to change, he saw the error of his ways and is trying to protect Reina and be a better father. He's finally respecting Reina what more do you guys want? An apology? He doesn't truly know if she's also gone back in time, he can't do that. Im sure he would if he'd find out.
You guys also expect him to listen to his mom, he was literally less than 20 when she warned him, do any of us really listen to our parents warnings? No. :|
It seems to me you guys are hella used to reading manhwas with toxic ML's to the point you can't accept an ML unless he's an absolute angel who makes no mistakes. Its actually so upsetting that you guys act like that man wasn't a victim. And he's doing more to make it up to the FL and their child than I've seen any other ML do. Other ML's are usually cold and arrogant and find different ways to make it up to the FL other than actually acknowledging his faults and changing. Edhart is one of few ML's who are actually changing and you guys take it as the authors way of making us pity him? Are you serious? You act like that man can't also have a tragic backstory wtf. I'll say it once and I'll say it again, Edhart was a fucking victim.
