No I'm pretty sure the author is going to turn this into one of those "repenting" moments where the father realizes what he did wrong, because Rubiel is essentially setting up a situation/opportunity for them to meet again as father and daughter, though I don't think Neveah will forgive him
Also the father has already started to think about his actions, why he did that, why he felt that way etc.
