They could have just kept as her as his love interest and focused more on the funny friendship, fighting bits.
Even Zoe × Daniel and Zack × Mira ships weren't half as annoying as this. The author wasted 2 good chapters when he could have just used it as a tiny side plot
honestly the romance in this is horrible.
