Exactly this. And how come the ML always has either black hair or blond hair? I guess any other hair color is impossible for the love interest.
For me it isn't even that I can't differentiate their appearances, which is also an issue, but it's the personalities that bore me. Like there's no chemistry in so many of them because they try to copy different stories of the same genre but the original has better writing.
So true. Just endless copies of the same exact shit :-(. I wonder which was the first of its kind, though.
I'm also not sure which is the first one, but one that I'm still invested in is the Abandoned Empress. The characters don't feel so cliche and actually have chemistry with one another.
All these stories are turning into the same thing, except for some which are unique, but I literally can't differentiate this story with like five others. The character just seems so repetitive and the same.
