There is nothing wrong with pretty or feminine ukes. There are many mangas with masculine ones and some with feminine ones. Real men come in all styles and appearances (Have you seen kpop stars. So gorgeous but they are often negatively judged by westerners for being too feminine) so there is nothing wrong with representing femininity in men within fantasy too. Also Feminine men exist in other media like shoujo and otome genre too. Look at Bishounen detective. Plus if the long hair is what's bothering you, this is a historical bl, just part of the setting.
Well you should probably consider the fact that it's the 21st century. I don't know what you classify as 'feminine' features or behavior but both male and females can exhibit 'feminine' traits. It's pretty closed minded of you to think he looks like a woman because what is a woman suppose to look like.
It's archaic to use the terms 'feminine' and 'masculine' to define the way someone looks. Basically the term 'feminine' is toxic.
And iIthink you are missing my point. It doesn't matter how feminine he appears, if he is a man than he is a man. Doesn't matter how "girly" you guys think the author portrays him, it won't change the fact that this IS a BL. Rejoice. it's gay. If this is not your cup of tea then read something else. Bara does exist too. You guys need to stop trying to box in bl characters. There is room for all sorts of ukes, semes and sekes
Sometimes I don't understand why bl authors draw the uke so like they are no diff from females( it's ok to be femenine but he looks 100% a woman) it's like the authors want to make bl but don't want to draw two guys kissing so they draw a girl and name it a guy that's what it looks like and it feels like they're using bl to become famous cuz they know if they draw bl it will become famouse
