alex wants someone to love him unconditionally, and feels like maybe he instinctually decided to date someone he thought would just be happy to date The Alex Rodrigez. but it's not like that anymore right? he genuinely likes cole, that's why he's willing to forgive cole for cheating. he wants to be loved despite jealousy, unconditionally so he's trying to love cole unconditionally.
