    "Ninon is a sheer fabric of silk, rayon, or nylon made in a variety of tight smooth weaves, open lacy patterns, or open mesh-like appearance. It is described as very delicate or lightweight and is sometimes referred to as "French tergal"."
    So in a way, the dad isn't wrong.

    OOOooo didn't know well maybe it's like french kiss or french fries even if it's called french it's not french lol but I can guarantee you that I never heard in france the name ninon or nylon

    Yep nylon is the name of a fabric, but never a Name for a person ^^
    Well french name don't really have any meaning either. Or really old and obscur ones that no one knows about ^^
