Yeonwu is not a push over either. He truly believes he has the situation under control, which anyone would believe so in this situation.

What I didn't like with DG was he had to disrupt the broadcast. Which is him insisting things, and that moment made things crumble for them, when imo, DG could've just walked away without doing that. But like I said, he did walk off so that's good.

To me what Yeonwu would be working on is being confident with his sexuality, like getting into a relationship, because he's avoiding it, he doesn't think he should or that it's impossible for people to like him (him being oblivious of Alex's advances), or going back home and telling his family off about it. But I don't see him simply being dragged around, he's a willing participant for the pleasure of it, not just out of guilt. He's gaining than Taehwan, who is losing his morals/values/beliefs. With the public thing, I mean there was so much cut before that situation happened.

I like how Taehwan is written as someone who doesn't magically becomes nice or caring after a few sex. He's obviously changing but it's not cheesy or out of character that can completely fuck up a person. Like how Jiwon was to DG.

Having the short end of the stick is seeing him like a victim. Like how Taehwan sees Yeonwu, yet Yeonwu's has already conditioned himself that he's in it primarily for sex. It's like a reverse uno actually.

I don't see it how you do, so I have nothing more to add in regard to their relationship.
In regard to relating to the characters, I think is subjective, because I don't. The only characters I did enjoy so far in this story were the couple of the 1st season.

While in Bj, I enjoyed it more, and maybe because I read when it started ( I did pay for all chapters in lezhin from the beginning till the end), and was one of the first bl manhwas I've read on that platform. Almost 2 years of discussion if not more, it did leave an impression on me. And is one of the few bl along with others that were published around the same time that I see myself rereading when I have time.

About realism, I take it with a grain of salt, this is bl, so expecting realistic outcomes with this plot setting doesn't work for me. The smut is the same, maybe because I read yaoi/bl for almost a decade, the new ones in terms of smut are, all the same (like they have more chapters=more sex scenes), so it does not look different. And if you say Bj was written for the smut, we can say the same about the rest. Unless they are shounen-ai.

Anyway, I can say that we both view these 2 stories differently and I am okay with that. However, in regard to the quality of stories and character's growth it will always be debatable and subjective.

Also, this guilt. Yes, partly he is but primarily he is curious what made Taehwan so triggered by it, so much so that Taehwan cut Yeonwu completely off after it, like he didn't exist. Yeonwu feels bad because he lost a friend, a very hot popular friend, and Yeonwu struggles with making friends (Taehwan was his only friend back then). But that was it. Yeonwu is not groveling on such a mistake as if what he did was a life or death thing, enough for him to be desperate for sex. Taehwan is a convenient tinder partner, instead of him finding them.
