Got a funny feeling the passage from the first monolith to, "beware the fairy with red eyes and to look away immediately," (not actually quoted rip) and the "evil" Huxen released are both related to the king/priest having red eyes and turning into power hungry bad people. Possibly like a possession by the bad fairy?
