After much patience, I have finished it. It's not as satisfying as I thought it would be. Although there are newer stunts to this compared to most "reincarnation" or "time travel" manhua's I've read. Besides, the FL is very interesting and although the ML did treat her like shit, this renewed life of hers explained exactly why he hated her guts. And it is seen now that once cleared of all the deceptions, the ML is as badass as the FL in setting the records straight. Besides, even if the FL is very much in love with the ML and the ML has slowly unraveled his love for her... their relationship doesn't instantly becomes okay. (The translation barely makes the story readable tho)
But the whole foster life has me double thinking since it wasn't fully cleared what happened after the FL said that their legal relationship obstructs further talks of marriage.
I also noticed how Chinese Manhuas have stupid audiences or at least change drifts like a hypocritical twitter space. one moment they are against the leads, then they change hearts against the "villains" —all the while so easily swayed once the villains speak some kind of "logic" —but then i suppose it shows how fickle outsiders are to the matter... like an audience to a drama (without the self-reflection or even feel sorry that they judged other people wrong).
And there's also this stereotypic 2D personality of villains to feel as if it's always the leads' fault why retribution has caused their downfall. Can't one villain be at least aware that they're the villain and act accordingly? istg is the leads only the one aware when they use backhanded methods. (i know "bad" people are narcissists and doesnt think they do anything bad... but when they speak their crimes with the intention of being the victim... I'm just appalled by the shamelessness.)
then again... i suppose this is why most chinese manhuas are... childish-like. (too bad most korean/japanese manhuas related to reincarnation and time travel are still on-going )
