I don’t think he “chose” anyone. He’s mixing up past events for the 2 different people. He even said the nicer guys name when he was asking for a hug from the mob boss. And he was talking about coming back from the sea, which was from the ski resort dude. Soooo I don’t think he chose anyone, I think it was just from hitting his head against the shower.
