Okay, at this point and time it's only reasonable to not like Joowon, so far he has shown no character development. You are towards the end of Season 1, Chapter 40. is the end of season 1. Beginning of Season 2 we get a chapter with Joowon's perspective, Season 2, we get some chapters of Taekyung's perspective and Joowon, even the parents. What I'm saying is this, I think you should continue reading it, so you can learn more about all of the characters, about why they act the way they do, etc. Season 2-3 has great dialogue on all of the characters perspective, which I believe is needed, because a lot of stuff was brought out during Season 2-3 about all of the characters. Your still on Season 1, so everything just seems a little hectic right now, but trust me things will start becoming more clear and explained in Seasons 2-3. You might end up changing your mind about who you ship, but then again you might not, you know, at the end of the day it's your opinion. There will be drama of course, but everything will be explained, and hopefully you'll be able to understand more about the characters and their situation. I do hope you take a second chance of reading this! It's beautifully written indeed, and the author's note will also help clear things up as well, (Finish reading all of the chapters before reading the last Author's note) So yes, I think it would be good for you to pick it back up and read it to the end, you might end up liking it, it doesn't hurt to try.

Thank you so much for giving me your thoughts! I tend to be a little impatient when reading because of my first impression towards the characters. I’ll definitely pick this up and finish reading it. Thank you!

Hey there! :”) I spent all day reading this although I’m not finished yet! I finished season 2 though and I think I kind of understand their relationship a bit better. I still feel bad about Haesoo though, maybe because I kind of relate to him one way or another. Jowoon on the other hand surprised me a little, I can grasp his actions now that I had a gist of his perspective. Lastly, I’m now a bit worried about Taekyung and his feelings toward Haesoo, because I feel like “love” is too complex for him to understand, since it’s been implied that he doesn’t really know much about emotions despite being a photographer. I’m afraid he’s just going to be overwhelmed by his emotions and get hurt or hurt Haesoo in the end. Anyway, that’s that!! I can’t wait to finish this! I’m loving it so far! <33

I'm glad you were able to finish Season 2! Season 2 explained more about Joowon and Taekyung, and the parents especially. I knew it would be good for you to pick it up! You're now understanding the characters actions, and the backstory behind it, when I read about Joowon in Season 2, he surprised me as well, I feel that he was starting to understand Haesoo, better than in the beginning of the story. He's also starting to realize he wasn't the only one with the short end of the stick. Haesoo was also suffering from the consequences. I'm glad he's slowly getting character development and starting to realize his actions and the people around him too. The good thing about Season 2 is Chapter 41, we got to see Joowon's perspective from when they were kids, which is very needed, (In Season 3 it will have some flashbacks from when they were kids as well, also they will show dialogue for both parents.) Season 3 also deeply explains Joowon's background with his father. And why he acted the way he did for Haesoo, I think it'll be easier for the reader to understand his reasoning behind his actions. For Taekyung, in chapter 58, with the scene with the guy, it brought out that he's not good at expressing his feelings at all, and I think this as well his "love" for Haesoo is there, but I don't think it's fully there like the understanding of love is there. He's still mysterious indeed with his feelings toward Haesoo, but he's making progress. For Haesoo, I personally thought he should've had some time to himself before he got with Taekyung, I wish he had some time to reflect on things, and try to boost his self-esteem and get out of the depression state. He's trying his best though, that is seen throughout the chapters, and he seems happy, but he's not himself you know, versus when he's with Joowon, with his bratty attitude. I also think he pity's him you know, he said it himself that he saw his younger self in Taekyung, so that is why I think he's still like the way he is. I can't wait for you to start Season 3! We will get more dialogue about the parents, (I didn't wanna mention the parents, until you read Season 3, there's still some missing pieces with them), and you will get to see everything get solved out!

Hello! I finally finished the story, I think this reply is going to be quite long. And I apologize in advance for some typographical errors, In my defense, I was writing this at 4am. General thought, it was really good. I’m really glad I listened to you and picked this story up because the dialogue and the script is elite. It was really well written. I have separate thoughts about each of the characters so I think I’m going to break it up one by one which makes this long. Hope you won’t get tired reading.

First, Taekyung, right from the start I really liked his character because like the author said towards the end of the story, he was the most emotionally stable out of the three. Funny enough, that’s what I dislike about him too. He was TOO stable, too stable that he himself isn’t capable of feeling emotions, of grasping emotions, and what it really meant’ Like I’ve said, I think it’s too complex for him. I’m glad that he didn’t end up with Haesoo because they both started the wrong foot. They both deserve much better.

Second, Joowon. I really liked his character development. I love how he slowly realizes his feelings and started acting upon it. I loved how he took responsibilities for his actions, and how much he cared about Haesoo. I feel like his relationship with his dad is what brought up the need to “PROTECT” Haesoo, because all his life he was given what he wanted. And I think Haesoo is what he can’t really have no matter what he do, so he had to drag their game for so long that they both have to hurt themselves in the process.

Lastly, Haesoo. Out of the three, he really is the most unstable. With constant fear, anxiety and depression. That what made Haesoo, him. Although I really would have loved it if he thought more about his actions rather than impulsively acting on it, like what you have said with his relationship with Taekyung, though I can’t only blame Haesoo because Taekyung provoked him as well.

As for their parents, I really don’t have much to say I’m not a parent and I don’t know shit about parenting. But I blame both of them because it’s their fault that their children turned out that way. Although I’m relived that Haesoo and his mom git the chance to talk, and I really hope that Jowoon and his dad will also get back together and accept their mistakes.

All in all, I loved how all three of them got their happy ending and they all had some character development throughout the story. HOWEVER, I don’t think Haesoo getting back with Jowoon is a great idea as well. I fell like it would have been better if all three of them walked in their own path and let their experiences just be a lesson for them in the new future they are about to face. Because honestly, Haesoo and Jowoon’s relationship is so unhealthy and unstable that I know they are just going to hurt themselves again and it will slowly turn into a cycle.

That’s all! I’m sorry if this was super long, I really want to give you my thoughts since its you that gave me a reason to really continue this story. I really enjoyed it, I had a great time. It’s nice meeting you here!

I'm glad you finished it!!! And no worries this isn't long at all, about Taekyung I completely agree, he was too stable, which only made sense because he had never went through any pain emotionally especially compared to Joowon and Haesoo. But I'm glad to see that he's doing well with his friends and his mother. Despite having a lover, you don't need a lover to be happy. Just being with close ones is good enough.

For Joowon, he improved a lot which is good, I was very happy to see that he was changing, but to me it seems like that was him all along, it was just with the situation with the parents and all of the mixed emotions and the toxic relationship with Haesoo, it made him act that way and develop a toxic relationship with Haesoo, but that's what Haesoo was going through as well, so they were both toxic indeed throughout the relationship. And they didn't talk about their feelings that was the most difficult thing about them, that led to all the assumptions and mixed emotions. But I'm glad to see he's changed, I really am you know, I think he's learned his lesson, he's acknowledged his past behavior and his doing better.

For Haesoo, he's matured a lot, compared to the beginning of the story, he's no longer giving Joowon all of the blame like he used to. He acknowledged as well that he was also a big part of the problem with their relationship, I think he really started to realize that when he met Joowon at his CEO's office when the article got out about the school fight, and when he visited him at the hospital. We got to see some flashbacks about him and Joowon when they were kids, and they were both just vulnerable, the parents weren't any help and that added a ton of stress onto both of them especially at that age. But in this time present, he's his usual self with his bratty attitude, and corny jokes, but he has a more affectionate side which we got to see in chapter 104.

For the parents, Joowon's dad I knew he was full of shit, I never really liked him, especially after finding out that he knew about the relationship and kept quiet about it all those many years, WHILE seeing that Haesoo's mom was not mentally good about it. He should've spoke up about that a long time ago, AT LEAST to Haesoo's mother, she wouldn't be alone in the situation. But I do want him and Joowon to still have a relationship, Joowon lost his mother at a young age, and I don't want something bad to happen to his dad, and their last conversation is what we saw in Chapter 101. I hope they get back on good terms.

Haesoo's mom, I didn't like her in the beginning she was a bitch, she gaslight Haesoo a lot, even when he was a kid, she would call him just to criticize him and poor boy was just trying to make peace with his mother. It still doesn't sit right with me that she told Haesoo in Chapter 52, she needed him to help her keep "loving" him, over a damn marriage, I couldn't believe she said that, over a bland damn marriage. Anyways present time, I kinda like her now, it's more of 50/50 thing I think she made a lot of excuses when she and Haesoo talked, she could've asked for help, you know Haesoo's dad wasn't the only person she could've asked for help. It's just I don't know she could've done better than what she did with Haesoo. But she's trying to do that now which is okay but, meh.

I had a feeling you still wouldn't bee 100% satisfied with Joohae lol, it's fine though, it's your opinion and I respect that. But they did have time for themselves Haesoo went to Spain for 3 years, and Joowon stayed in Korea those 3 years. That gave them both time for them to do what they wanted to do, and get some time to themselves and just reflect over things. Which was very needed, I'm glad they didn't just rush and get into a relationship without talking things through. And I don't think their relationship is unhealthy if it's about what Haesoo said in 106 about them fighting, it's a normal thing for them to fight over stuff like that. I'm not saying it's toxic but they've been like that sense they were kids, arguing over stupid things. I don't think it's going to be like it was in the beginning of the story. The main problem was the parents, and why they turned out like that, they should've talked to them ahead of time, but they settled things down with their parents and they don't have to worry about that big blockage in the way of them showing their true feelings, and FINALLY getting into a healthy relationship. Will they fight again in the future of course a majority of couples do, but I can rarely see them getting back into a toxic relationship again.

I'm glad you finished it!!! It's always good to give stories like these a second chance, to see what you missed out on. (Only after it's finished), sorry this was kinda long as well I just typed as I thought, but hopefully you went to bed! And I'm glad you gave this manhwa a second chance. Nice meeting you too! <3
