In the original manhwa/raws, it is 'oppa'~ so that might be a mistranslation. Although in reality, some younger females do call older males 'hyung' if they aren't trying to be affectionate - so 'Hyung' is still acceptable in a way. Hope this helps!
Those girls called Ge Eun "hyung" shouldn't it be oppa? I hope this doesn't come off as rude either because I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to be smart aleck. My Korean skills are basic lol ╥﹏╥ and I am very thankful for the translators and the work they do
