Both of them are vamps because the top gave the bottom his blood during the fight between the top and his past link and the bottom's let's say ex(?). Then later on, the bottom and the top became link.
Uke's blood is poisonous to seme and it makes the vampire(seme) weak till he becomes a human... At the end To save uke's life the seme turned him into a vampire and then uke(now a vampire)turns seme (now a human ) into his link so that they can be immortal and be together.
