my theory is that she’s not a clone at all. Someone else said that she perhaps traded her memories for something else and I think that’s correct. Maybe the ml said something to trigger her wanting to erase her memories, and that’s why he says that he killed her. He most likely blames himself for the “death” of the old reiko but is starting to have feelings for the reiko in the present, so he’s confused and angry at himself for feeling that way. There’s no way that generic terra isnt apart of the cause of her memory loss, if I read the story right then generic terra is like earth 2.0, maybe they erased reiko’s memories as an experiment to make people leave the city.
