Yes, absolutely!
In chapter 54 Hwan taunts Geumsun by saying, “Those who hold the weapons get to choose who is sacrificed. Those without such weapons merely become the victims. You haven’t changed a bit I see…despite losing everything because of that arrogance.”
704’s bow comes to mind as such “weapon” and 704 himself as “everything” if we believe in the theory that 704’s sin is suicide by way of self-sacrifice and he was everything Geumsun lost.
There’s also maybe something there involving fate with 704’s left eyebrow scar and San shooting Hwan straight through the left eye.
More on this theory and significance of the repeated weapons line here: https://www.mangago.zone/home/mangatopic/10433232/
I think this bow has a significance.....the way 704 turned out to be a reaper, his relation to Guemsen, and the ban on his usage of the bow.....and now in the present he escaped with the bow AND came to Guemsen....maybe the fate is repeating itself..?
Cuz the way Guemsen said that fate is not on his side...not even once...shows that he has experienced this before..
