It’s the casual form of yes. It can be used as agreement or with a question mark it can be translated as what (as in what did you say). Every so often it could just be a sound effect. I hope that helps. :)

Omg you commented this forever ago but i do quality control and i usually just change the sfx-ish noises when i think it disrupts the sentence flow or doesn’t make sense to me so it’s possible i miss places i should change them at haha

Do the translators not know what eung (응) means? Because I don’t think all of them were supposed to be onomatopoeias.
