I’m not black so correct me if I’m wrong but is that hair allowed?

Im not black either so dont take my word for 100% right but im pretty sure that dreadlocks have deep roots in many other cultures so its not appropriation as we dont the characters ethnicity. Now if its healthy for their type of hair its a different story

Yeah, as long as people respect the culture around it it's fine. People getting dreads and then calling them self ghetto or hood is usually where there's a problem. It's all about the way you portray yourself, like how japanese people aren't upset with others wearing kimonos as long as they're worn and portrayed in a respectful manner.

Uh no. As much as I love the black community, they don't own dreadlocks at all. In fact, it's a part of lot of ascetic cultures and religions. You can see a lot of Indian sages and priests don this hair for penance
