Guys i have a question. Is the name ”Lyle” a name for girls, guys or both?? Because all the people i know ( and searched for ) with the name lyle were all guys.
honestly whatever name you want you should have it, i don't really see a need putting gender on names. it probably shows lyle is a name for boys cause its more common, but if you wanted to use it for a girl there's honestly no issue with that, i think it'd even be more unique
Well I read the name as "Lailie" which sounds like a guy... But if I read it as "Leilie" it sounds like a girl..... So I think it's based on how it's read?
Just wanted to ask what y'all thought since I'm a girl, my name's Lyle and I've been bullied a lot in hs coz they said it was weird for me to have a guy's name. :T I honestly don't care anymore and i quite like my name, i just got curious what everyone else thought so THANK YOU!!! ⊂(´・◡・⊂ )∘˚˳°
The name Lyle is a girl's name of French, Scottish, English origin meaning "someone who lives on an island". Lyle is a perfect example of a name that sounds old-fashioned for a boy, cool for a girl. (So it can be used by both but mostly girls use it)
