You are right! I googled body harness and chest harness. It distributes the force to prevent injuries while climbing and other sports. That's why so many characters with wings also wear it, I guess.

Can someone please tell me what those belt type things are? I always see characters (especially male) wearing it over shirts in manhwas. It's there in both historical and modern spy stories. What exactly is it and what purpose does it have (except the kinkiness) ?
