true dat I am a gay and when a lot of straight people got always dissapointed in a story because there's no sex. It feels weird to me knowing that they are just reading manga because of the sex
i remembered a scene from fudanshi's life when the mc pointed out that fujoshi-s are weird for fetishizing gay couples/characters when they're abs straight. i really think yaoi readers needs to understand this context.

First off I wanna say that I totally agree that fetishizing people for their sexuality is an absolute no go and disgusting. I’m bi so I also get quite a bit of that! I’m only replying because you said that if you have different reasoning for seeking out yaoi that you’d like to hear it! My reasoning honestly stems from both intrigue and a distaste towards my own body. I’m cis but my body issues stem from being overweight so whenever I read pretty much ANYTHING with straight smut or wlw smut I can’t help but focus on how much my body does not look like those girls so it isn’t the same and unrealistic expectations and standards and stuff. So in contrast mlm offers that bit of escapism because I’m not thinking about how I compare. Also male on male is the one thing that I can never experience. Vanilla, shhh, can be disappointing; Kink, can try it when possible. Mlm? Physically impossible, I am not a man. So I wonder what the other side ,I guess, feels?? Now, yaoi is in NO way typically accurate other than some rare gems. But it still offers a thought? Answers part of the question? Escapist, so therefore unrealistic but kinda hot? Anyway, I know there’s still a tiny bit of fetishizing of yaoi in there which I hate but I just wanted to offer MY perspective. This is in NO WAY meant to be an excuse for those who fetishize gay people as a whole and real life human beings and couples that way.

For all of u guys begging for yaoi. I know it has the yaoi tag but look into the reason why you cant enjoy a straight sex scene when you are straight youself and why it HAS to be guy on guy. This is why the lgbtqia+ communtiy shuns us away and are disgusted by us. Its because rather than supproting the gays most of yalll just fetishize them. Open your eyes! What do you really read yaoi for?(main reason) Is it because the storyline, the characters, or the couple are good or is it because you find gay sex hot? If it is the latter then you are fetishizing them and gay ppl are not fetish. They are human beings and their love is juts like ours, not just a wet dream. And by fetishizing them, you are mkaing the same ppl you fantasize about extremely uncomfortable. I know many of you may not see it but i hope that soon you will because as an ally and im sure you are one too, the last thing i would want would be to make them uncomfortable. If you have diffrent reason inwould like to ear them too, but just think about it, so you can start getting out of this honestly disgusting mindset now.
